Cafe Max

These salads are delicious and flavorful. I typically don’t like cold meat, but this was the exception. I was pleasantly surprised and it fed me for 2 lunches since it was cold and still delicious as leftovers.

Just love this place, one of the few places that makes me want to eat salads all the time. Been coming to Cafe Max on and off since they were at the Addison/Midway location, and the quality & quantity have been pretty consistent for me. Salad breakdown: Cucumber salad - cucumber, tomato, cilantro, tangy dressing Vegetable salad - zucchini, yellow squash, carrots, cauliflower, vinaigrette Potato salad - yellow potatoes, vinaigrette Pasta salad - tricolor rotini, creamy oregano-forward dressing Seafood salad - imitation crab, creamy tangy dressing Chicken salad - chicken, red/green peppers, apples, pecans, cilantro, sweet tangy dressing Caesar salad - romaine, croutons, parm-forward caesar dressing Fruit salad - cantaloupe, grapes, pineapple, honeydew Prices have gone up, but it's to be expected during these times. I'm not mad about it & still think the food is definitely worth the cost. The only difference that I can detect that one reviewer pointed out is that the seafood salad does have a different texture than previously. The flavor is still great, but the imitation crab is a bit more spongy than I remembered. It doesn't bother me, but if you mind that kind of texture, then this salad might be a pass. Other than that, every salad is still delicious, & portions are still huge. I attached a picture the salad sampler that I got and the plate that I made from that. Pretty sure I can make 2 more plates from what I have leftover. However, the sleeper of this meal is the zucchini muffin(not pictured) that comes with your salad....it's so goooood! The muffin is moist, not too sweet and doesn't just have zucchini, but carrots, walnuts, & raisins. Great way to end your meal! Will need to come back more often.

Cafe Max moved locations years ago. I used to eat at Cafe Max at least once a week, sometimes more when they were by my office. It's been a couple of years since my last visit to Plano. Today's I stopped in and was thrilled I got there before they closed.

I love the salad trio! You have the option of getting three different salad options in one to go container that is packed full. They always serve nice size portions so you’ll have enough for 2 meals practically!Service is always fast & friendly.

The food is delicious! I always get a trio with chicken salad and rotate through the other sides. The portions are huge, so I get a to-go box to last several meals. The servers are friendly and the restaurant is clean.

7-18-24: My wife and I had an amazing dining experience at Cafe Max! We enjoyed the mixed veggie salad, cucumber and tomato salad, Caesar salad, chicken salad, and the creamy pasta salad, all accompanied by two cokes. The coke here tastes absolutely perfect, like they have the syrup turned way up! The food, as always, was amazing. This was our first time dining in the restaurant, and we loved it! The floor had some food on it and was a little dirty, but other than that, it was a great experience. This isn’t our first time dining with Cafe Max, and it definitely won’t be our last. Yum! I cannot believe there are only two locations for Cafe Max. They are super delicious and give you generous amounts of food! Yum!

Cafe Max has been one of my go-to lunch spots for years, and it never disappoints. The quality and consistency of their food keeps me coming back time and time again. My absolute favorites are the chicken salad and the cucumber tomato salad—both are fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The chicken salad is perfectly seasoned and full of tender chicken, while the cucumber tomato salad is crisp, refreshing, and lightly dressed—just the way I like it. Whether I’m dining in or picking up, (today I picked up to bring home)I know I’m going to leave happy. It’s a local gem and a place I always recommend to friends. So glad we have this family owned place here!
